Winter Semester 2024 / Notiva

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Administrative tasks can be overwhelming for doctors and medical staff, taking time away from what matters most – patient care. Our project is focused on developing an AI-powered assistant specifically designed to handle these repetitive and time-consuming tasks. By using advanced AI technologies, our solution simplifies processes like document handling and data entry, allowing healthcare professionals to focus more on their patients.

Goal

The goal of this project is to create a reliable and easy-to-use tool that supports doctors and medical staff in managing their daily administrative tasks. By automating these processes, we aim to save time, reduce stress, and improve the efficiency of healthcare practices. Our assistant is designed to fit seamlessly into existing workflows, making life easier for busy medical professionals.

Methodology

We started by gathering feedback directly from healthcare professionals to understand the specific challenges they face in administrative work. Based on this input, we developed a multimodal AI system that combines several technologies, such as natural language processing and task automation. Through constant testing and improvement, we tailored the system to meet the unique needs of medical staff, ensuring that it’s practical, intuitive, and highly effective in real-world settings.

Results

Our AI assistant has shown strong potential in early tests with doctors and healthcare staff, reducing time spent on administrative tasks. By summarizing patient consultations in real time, it allows doctors to focus on their patients instead of taking notes, therefore enhancing overall efficiency. By streamlining time-consuming tasks, our solution enables medical professionals to dedicate more time to patient care, improving both their workflow and the quality of care. We are planning on launching our MVP in February 2025.
