How did you learn about the Buenos Aires Global Marketing Program and why did you choose to participate?

I learned about the program through the official WU page, rather unexpectedly! Since I have already been to a Program in Porto this summer, I knew how much experience I could get through such a Program and was very excited to be a part of something like that once again.

How did participating in the Buenos Aires Global Marketing Program help you in terms of your personal / professional / academic development?

The academic factor of this Program was absolutely incredible. I knew from the start, that gaining International Marketing insights from professors and students from, quite literally, across the globe would be extremely helpful, especially considering that I would want to work in an international environment. Therefore, the different perspective towards marketing overall and paying much more attention to detail in context of different cultures/languages/mindset will most definitely give me an upper hand in the future.

What can you tell us about the academic program and the lecturers? What was your impression?

As mentioned previously, I enjoyed this program and all the lectures very much. All the approaches from the three lecturers were somewhat different, for example, Riina Koris used many lifestyle examples that were very common and known for all students, as well as mentioned psychology/philosophy facts and figures, which appealed to me extraordinarily much. On the other hand, Thomas Freudenreich was showing us many additional videos (as well as Jorge Almada), that put a lot of the theoretical input in more understandable context. Overall, I really enjoyed all the classes and was excited for university every morning!

Please give us a short overview of your expenses for the program (travel, accommodation, food, activities...) to help future participants to estimate the financial aspect.

The flights cost me 1450 Euros there and back with luggage included. Me and 4 other groupmates had books an AirBnB, for which each of us paid approximately 500 Euros for a month (since we all stayed a week longer). Transport is very cheap, a taxi ride of 15-20 minutes would cost 2-3 Euros, food was around 5 Euros on average (per meal) and 10 for a higher quality restaurant.

What was your personal highlight / your favorite memory about this program?

My favourite memory was most definitely winning the projects at the end of the program, since my groupmates and I had put a lot of thought and energy into it. Therefore, knowing that we consumed the knowledge presented that well and, moreover, were able to apply it in practice was a very proud highlight for me.

Would you like to share anything else / further statements about the Buenos Aires Global Marketing Program?

For future applicants of the program – when being cautious and safe, there is absolutely no danger in the city and we didn’t feel afraid even at late nights – which was, now that I think about it, also a very big highlight for me, since I had come to Argentina in a little anxious state of something worrisome happening.
