We are an interdisciplinary team with a passion for research and teaching at the intersection of retailing and data science. Our goal is to offer practice-oriented courses that optimally prepare students for the challenges of retail in the digital era. Our data-driven research combines modern data science methods with industry expertise to support managerial decision-making and make socially relevant insights publicly available.

The Institute of Retailing & Data Science is part of the Marketing Department, which consists of eight closely connected institutes. This cooperation enables the efficient pooling of resources for excellent research and teaching. Under the direction of Prof. Dr. Martin Schreier and Prof. Dr. Thomas Reutterer, the department shapes WU's profile in the fields of marketing and international management and offers a comprehensive range of courses in the Bachelor's and Master's programs as well as in continuing education programs.
