Wi-Fi Access

You can use Wi-Fi on your notebook or your smartphone throughout the entire WU campus. With your WU account, you also get internet access on the public surfstations and the PC Labs.

Wi-Fi Connections

At WU, the Wi-Fi networks "eduroam" and "wu-conference" are available.

WU employees and students need a separate Wi-Fi password to use Wi-Fi at the WU campus. This password must be set individually in the Controlpanel application. Read more about the necessary steps on the webpage Changing Your Password.

2) When connecting to the “wu-conference” network, you will be automatically redirected to an authentication page as soon as you select the network from the list of available Wi-Fi networks. Some mobile devices display a system message instead, asking you to enter the provided login data.

WU students and employees can easily set up a secure Wi-Fi connection for mobile devices using the app eduroam CAT.

Temporary Wi-Fi Access

Entitled WU employees can set up temporary Wi-Fi access for conferences and guests at WU by using the Controlpanel application. For details, please refer to the Instructions on Account Management (pdf).

Configuration Data

If you do not want to use eduroam CAT, you need to adjust the following settings on your device to establish a Wi-Fi connection. Any other settings can stay at the defaults suggested by the system.
