Networking & Dissemination

The Competence Center takes an active role in national and international WU networks and the targeted dissemination of research findings. Our goal is to strengthen WU’s international presence and attractiveness, expand collaborations with educational institutions worldwide, and promote knowledge transfer between academia, practice, and society.

In the area of networking engagement, we focus on the following activities:

  • International Networks Management: involvement of the Center in international WU networks such as Africa-Uninet, Asea-Uninet, and Global Business School Network (GBSN)

  • Strengthening WU's national and international visibility 

  • Expanding and deepening cooperation with other universities worldwide 

  • Initiating new collaborations with different stakeholders in Austria, emerging economies, and the CEE region

  • Cooperation within WU: increased collaboration with WU’s academic and service units

In the area of research dissemination, we focus on the following activities:

  • Informing about research output from our associated members, dissemination via social media and websiteProviding detailed overview of WU’s collective expertise in emerging economies and CEE and enabling visibility of competence areas and regions

  • Supporting our members as experts and speakers on emerging economies and CEE themes

  • Organizing and supporting dissemination events

  • Showcasing WU’s societal relevance of research accomplishments
