Martin Rafaj embodies the spirit of the Master Class CEE. His journey began during his bachelor studies when he joined the JOSZEF program in 2011/2012, an experience that significantly shaped his personal and professional growth. His enthusiasm and passion for continuous learning led him to become at that time one of the few students who pursued the Master Class CEE during his master studies (2013/2014). This was one of the best experiences of his academic life.

Driven by the desire to maintain the bonds forged during his time in the program, Martin took the initiative, alongside a fellow classmate, to establish the Master Class CEE Alumni Association. This association serves as a hub for former students to stay connected with the Competence Center for Emerging Markets and CEE and with each other. They organize enlightening panel discussions on pressing topics, recently focusing on "Managing Business in Uncertain Times: Impact of Recent Crises and Strategies for Building Resilience."
Members also enjoy exclusive benefits, including access to the Grow East Congress, all thanks to the generous support of the Competence Center.

Working for large industrial companies, Martin fell in love with the manufacturing industry, which he is currently supporting as a consultant with an expertise in business controlling, change management and market intelligence. Together with his business partners, he facilitates the transition of his clients towards resilience, regenerative circular economy and innovation.

Martin's dedication to lifelong learning and his commitment to fostering connections within our alumni community make him an exceptional representative of the Master Class CEE.
