About

Born in Vienna in 1954.

Studies and qualifications:

  • University of Vienna (Mag. phil. degree in English and Geography in 1980)

  • Montclair State College (M. A. summa cum laude in 1983).

Professional experience:

  • Teaching English and Geography at a commercial school in Vienna

  • Cruise Director for an Austrian tour operator

  • Graduate Assistant under the Fulbright Program at the Department of Environmental, Urban, and Geographic Studies at Montclair State College, New Jersey, USA  

  • Adjunct Professor at Montclair State College

  • Full-time lecturer at the Institute since 1986.

Other academic/departmental activities:

  • Jointly responsible for planning and designing the course programme of the English Department

  • Co-author of several Business English textbooks for commercial schools and commercial colleges
