The conference will focus on the recent case law of the CJEU in the area of VAT. The most relevant judgments rendered in 2024 will be analyzed by panels consisting of leading academics and judges as well as government and business representatives. In a special spotlight session on the first day, judges from the General Court (EGC) will report about their first impressions in the new chamber for preliminary rulings in VAT at the General Court.

The conference will start with a welcome reception on the evening of January 22, 2025 at the Institute for Austrian and International Tax Law, WU. The working sessions will be held all day on January 23 and 24, 2025 in Ceremonial hall 1, LC Building on the WU campus.
