Biographical Sketch

In addition to her position as University Professor for Public Law at SFU Vienna, Teresa Weber is affiliated with the Institute for Law and Governance. She studied law in Vienna (University of Vienna, WU Vienna) and Law & Society in Leiden. After completing her doctoral studies, she was assistant professor at the University of Salzburg, where she worked on a post-doctoral thesis on the interrelations of the federal organization of Member States with EU law. For this thesis, she was awarded the venia docendi (post-doctoral degree) for the subjects of constitutional law, administrative law and European law in 2021. Teresa Weber completed several research stays in Germany and Belgium, including at Deutsche Universität für Verwaltungswissenschaften Speyer, Max-Planck-Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law and Leuven Centre for Public Law. Before joining WU Vienna, she researched and lectured at the Institute for Public Law at LMU Munich.

Research Interests

Teresa Weber is particularly interested in the interplay between EU law, international law and national law. She conducts research in the field of environmental law and the transformation to a sustainable society through and within law with a specific focus on questions and challenges arising in the urban context.
