Outcomes

Coming out of the course, students will have the following abilities:

• Improved understanding of topics in conversations with developers

• Basic understanding of programming topics including hurdles to start, difficulties in practice, and programming languages

• Improved understanding of software development processes, including communication of feature requests, time estimation and management of programmers

• Deployed project in a finalized state (or intermediate progress state, for student-elected projects

Pre-requisites

• No previous programming knowledge necessary

• Students must bring a computer with them

• English comprehension is beneficial, because the course material will be in English (the instructor will explain topics in German if necessary)

• Students may elect to bring a project idea along with them, which can be started in the practical part of the course
