marketmind Best Thesis Award 2020

The marketmind Best Thesis Award was assigned for the seventh time to the three best theses of the WU Marketing Master program. The award, sponsored by the Austrian company marketmind, honors both research excellence and societal impact in the field of marketing. During the annual kick-off event of the new cohort, the students voted for the best master thesis presented by the nominees.

Nikol Balacheva won the first prize with her thesis “Buzz Marketing Based on Unique Users‘ Ratings and Their Normalization in Time. Homogenization or Diversification of Music Preferences?“. The runner-ups were Lisa Lampl with "Value Creation through Innovation” and Angela Simetzberger with “Why are we not acting? Barriers for consumers intending to live Zero Waste".

The winner received 1.000 € and the two runner-ups 400 € each. Congratulations to our winners! Special thanks to marketmind for again supporting our MSc Marketing program!
