In the course of the previous project survey of the demand plan for facilities for people with intellectual disabilities in Lower Austria, two central results have emerged:

• On the one hand, the development of an offer for self-determined life outside of institutions, especially for people with a low need for support.

• On the other hand, the development of offers for the age group 65+, as this group will grow most strongly in the next 10 years.

The offers were again developed in a participatory process together with the persons concerned - i.e. representatives of supporting organisations and self-representatives. The main purpose of the process was to adapt the offers as well as possible to the needs. The NPO Competence Centre had the task of providing scientific support for both processes. In addition, whenever necessary, calculations were carried out on the basis of the previously surveyed data for the possible implementation of the offers developed and the final results of the two processes were written in a final report.
