Prof. Martin Zagler is associate professor of Economics at WU. He has held visiting positions at several international universities and research institutions. His research interests are Economic Policy, Public Finance and Macroeconomics. In his research on international taxation, he focuses on tax coordination and economic performance. He has been looking at the relationship between economic growth and capital taxation, and is currently conducting research on tax treaties and on the relationship between government expenditures, income distribution and taxation.

Within the Doctoral Program, he will encourage and support young researchers to add to existing research on international taxation and economic performance. He is involved in research areas 1 (Determination of Taxable Profit) and 3 (EU Tax for Businesses).
