Carol Reeves is a Professor and holder of the Cecil and Gwendolyn Cupp Professorship in Entrepreneurship in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas. She has mentored 100 interdisciplinary undergraduate and graduate startup teams that have won $3.3 million in cash prizes, started 23 high-growth businesses, and raised over $85 million to build their enterprises. Reeves has raised more than $5 million in government funding and philanthropic gifts to build entrepreneurship initiatives at the University of Arkansas.

Prof. Reeves has won numerous awards for her work, including being named one of the 10 most powerful Women Entrepreneurs by Fortune magazine in 2011, receiving the Arkansas Alumni Association award for teaching excellence in 2010, and receiving the C. Sam Walls Entrepreneurship Educator and SEC Faculty Achievement awards in 2014. She earned a Ph.D. in Strategic Management with a concentration in Entrepreneurship from the University of Georgia in 1988.

The  Fulbright - Kathryn and Craig Hall Distinguished Chair, which is among the most generous awards available to U.S. scholars under the auspices of the Fulbright Program, is designed to address a broad spectrum of issues related to entrepreneurship, including entrepreneurial strategies; the role of governments or other public institutions in facilitating individual initiative; relationships between public, private, and non-profit sectors.
