E&I @WOIC held at UC Berkeley

04/12/2024

E&I faculty members Benjamin Monsorno and Dr. Dorothee Horvath presented their research conducted within the eXplore! project at the World Open Innovation Conference held (WOIC) at Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley.

Ben and Dorothee’s research, exploring factors influencing startup founders’ perception of Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) units as potential threats, sparked engaging discussions with leading CVC experts, including representatives from Google Ventures and Eli Lilly Ventures.

The conference was a hub of knowledge-sharing, bringing together global researchers and practitioners in the field of open innovation. As part of the program, they visited Bakar Labs, a premier incubator for life sciences startups, where they gained valuable insights into the ecosystem of life science innovation.

The E&I Institute is grateful to eXplore! for the opportunity to showcase this work and looks forward to continuing the dialogue with colleagues and industry partners worldwide.

Stay tuned for more updates on E&I projects!
