During her time at E&I she did research on learning processes in pyramiding, a research method to identify lead users. Moreover, she taught several courses on bachelor- and master level, such as Consulting or TechGarage. In addition she initiated and established the E&I Talents Program.

Barbara is now working as a venture consultant at XPRENEURS, an incubator for high-tech start-ups. The incubator is part of UnternehmerTUM, the leadingcenter for innovation and start-ups in Munich. In this role, Barbara supports early-stage start-ups on their way to market entry by helping them validate their business model, win new customers and secure their first investments. Additionally, she is involved in different European innovation initiatives like EIT Food and EIT Urban Mobility.
