Bachelor Thesis

The goal of completing a Bachelor thesis is to learn to independently write a scientific study that addresses a specific research question. We offer students the opportunity to write their bachelor thesis about topics in the field of Ecological Economics (in English or German).

Requirements

There are some requirements for writing a bachelor thesis at the Institute for Ecological Economics:

• First, successful completion of one of the specialisations offered by our Institute.

• Further, the topic of the bachelor’s thesis has to relate to one of the Institute’s current research groups and topics

• If you fulfill the requirements mentioned above, you may submit a research proposal to ecolecontheses(at)wu.ac.at. 

Research Proposal

The proposal should be 2-3 pages long and cover the following elements:

• Working title

• Theoretical framework

• Research question

• Research design and methods

• Expected results

• Suggested study outline (table of contents)Bibliography

Submit your research proposal via email to ecolecontheses(at)wu.ac.at. Acceptance and allocation depend on the free capacities of the available supervisors.
