Miguel Vázquez is a Project Staff Member and PhD student at the Department of Data Science and Knowledge Engineering (DPKM), where he conducts research in Artificial Intelligence. His work focuses on the intersection of Large Language Models (LLMs), Deep Learning, and Knowledge Graphs, with a particular interest in combining symbolic and subsymbolic approaches to improve the reasoning and interpretability capabilities of modern AI systems.

Miguel holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a Master's degree in Computation, Logic, and Artificial Intelligence from the University of Seville. His theoretical foundation is complemented by two years of professional experience as a Machine Learning Engineer at a private consultancy firm, where he worked on real-world AI applications, including predictive modeling and natural language processing.

Currently, Miguel is part of the BilateralAI doctoral network. His research aims to develop novel methods for integrating Knowledge Graph embeddings within LLM architectures, contributing to the broader goal of creating more robust, explainable, and knowledge-aware AI systems.
