Isabelle Walters has been the program manager for the Master’s Program in Business Communication (BizComm) since June 2024. Her responsibilities include consulting and communicating with applicants, students, and teachers, and she is involved with the processes related to running the master’s program (the application process, planning the curricula, coordinating internal and external stakeholders, assisting the academic directors, etc.).

Before starting at the WU Wien, she worked mainly in research administration, first at the St. Anna Children’s Cancer Research Institute, followed by the Max Perutz Laboratories (as assistant to the Scientific Director) and the Austrian Academy of Sciences and the University of Vienna (as project coordinator for the Erwin Schrödinger Center for Quantum Science & Technology).

During that time, she went on an Erasmus exchange program to Edinburgh University and was awarded a grant for a short-term stay abroad for her master’s thesis, which she spent at the Institute of Cognitive Studies at Edinburgh University. During her studies, she worked as a trainer, e.g. for Business English at BFI, tutor, and lecturer at the University of Vienna.
