Abstract:

These days, when international relations are actively developing, questions about giving names become more relevant. Personal name is regarded as an essential lingua-cultural source of information expressing different world views, beliefs, moral and material culture, traditions and customs of an indigenous nation. The purpose of this study is to investigate how Kazakh anthroponomy has changed during the period of 1980 to present to identify the transformations that have taken place during the different historical and sociocultural periods. As the anthroponymic system is always changing due to the various events currently happening in society, we can easily notice that some anthroponyms are not used at all, while some are renewed and widely used by the impact of globalization and integration of the languages.
