We are happy to invite PhD students and early career scholars to a Research Escalator session at the 2025 Interdisciplinary Conference on Financial Communication Research!

The workshop is a great opportunity for early career scholars in the interdisciplinary field of financial communication to present their current work in progress, discuss it with peers, and receive valuable feedback. Thereby, the workshop aims to bridge perspectives between different academic disciplines and fields by creating a supportive environment in which young scholars from diverse backgrounds share their insights to ultimately drive research forward. The workshop will connect fellow scholars, reveal possible collaborations, and build networks.

To participate, an 800 – 1000 word abstract has to be submitted. The abstract should contain the aim of the study, main theoretical frameworks, research methods, and, if applicable, preliminary results. All submitted abstracts will undergo a blind peer-review process. After the decision of acceptance has been communicated, all participants will receive up to two submissions from other participants in advance. Hence, they have sufficient time to prepare feedback for the session.

The research escalator session will take place in a roundtable setting, where the participants present their work within three minutes. Afterward, every participant will receive detailed feedback from the peers assigned to the submission, followed by an open discussion round. The workshop concludes with a short closing round to reflect on takeaways.
