We wish to draw your attention to a just released collection of short poems about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), written by our Visiting Scholar at STaR, WU, dr. Aljaz Kuncic. The book SDG Haikus, Short Poems About Sustainable Development Goals, is meant to represent an introduction to the SDGs in a literary (and fun!) format, accessible to a variety of audiences. Each SDG features the UN SDG Description, a haiku, and a word cloud. Each word cloud represents the text the targets and the related indicators under that goal. In the cloud, words that appear more frequently in relation to the relevant SDG appear bigger and thus serve as a visual representation of what each SDG is about. As a fun advocacy and educational project, this collection of poems is a non-commercial endeavor, where all profits will be donated to charitable developmental causes related to the SDGs by the author.
