The research institute organized the second meeting of the Central European Excellence in Transportation Research Association  (CEETRA) on July 19, 2024. It brought together 27 researchers from across the CEE region to advance mobility research. As CEE countries rapidly develop their transport systems with ambitious policies and investments aimed at increasing accessibility, connectivity, and sustainability—from the Adriatic to the Baltic and Black Seas—this dynamic growth needs to be supported by a strong research community, providing policymakers with state-of-the-art scientific expertise. The meeting included a diverse range of presentations and discussions from junior and senior researchers. Topics covered included fare-free public transportation, bike-sharing systems, ride-pooling, demand-responsive transport, telework, and the use and management of transport data.
