Partner in this winter term was the tech-company IKARUS Security Software. IKARUS Security Software is one of the pioneers in cyber security. Located in Vienna, IKARUS develops tailored security solutions for customers in B2C and B2C. Especially in the B2B segment IKARUS is partnering with globally leading companies in the tech area. IKARUS serves local and international customers from the business area as well as from the governmental sector.

In this lecture local WU students as well as incoming students were participating. This fact made it possible that beside working on relevant real life business challenges participants also got the chance to gain experience in working together in cross cultural teams.

During this class participants were dealing with specific topics of

• employer brandings

• social media marketing

• and sales steering

In a first step the participants of the lecture were deep diving into the industry of cyber security as well as into the topics mentioned above. In very intense interaction with the responsible managers of the company students were working on specific challenges for IKARUS in the quoted areas. Highlight of the lecture was the presentation of the analysis, findings and recommendations to the management board of IKARUS, including CEO Josef Pichlmayr. For this reasons IKARUS invited the class for the presentation to their office and hosted them with a business lunch. Soon after the final presentation IKARUS started implementing first recommendations in their operational business.
