With our activities, we want to expand patterns of thinking and behavior in order to jointly and sustainably increase WU's innovative capacity and create acceptance for new approaches and mindsets so that future opportunities can be seized quickly and flexibly.

Our Offers

We established a broad variety of offers - from our Innovation Programmes to In-House Consulting, as well as our Innovation Community.

Please note that our Innovation Programme formats 'Innovation Bootcamp' as well as the 'Facilitation Track' are held in German. For now, we only offer Innovation Sprints in English.

However, In-House Consulting is also available in English.

Innovation Programmes

For participants from both academic and administrative staff, we currently offer the following innovation programmes: the Innovation Bootcamp and the Facilitation Track.

For more team and/or project-specific settings, we also carry out Innovation Sprints that focus on the rapid creation and validation of ideas.

In-House Consulting

Our In-House Consulting offers vary depending on the specific needs and demands of our customers. This includes, the support of ongoing/new projects with innovation methods to ensure user-centered innovation (linked to products, services and/or team dynamics), as well as designing workshops and (student) programmes.

Innovation Community

The Innovation Community has a desire to do things differently and connects like-minded people across the organization. Through proactive exchange, we learn from each other and support each other when establishing ideas and/or encountering challenges.

For whom is the Innovation Office for?

Tho Innovation Office, established in 2020, serves all WU employees. Anyone can participate in our Innovation Programmes after consulting with their manager. Since 2022, also employees of the universities Mannheim and St. Gallen can join our Innovation Programmes. From 2023 onwards we extended our offer to employess of other universities in general. Please not that our programmes are carried out in German and non-WU employees need to pay a participation fee.

For our wu-internal In-House Consulting offers, the availability depends on our capacities. Do not hesitate to make an appointment with us to get an insight into whether our In-House Consulting is suitable for your project.
