Carola Wandres joined the Institute of Strategy, Technology and Organization in May 2017 as a University Assistant prae doc. She holds a MSc. in Management with a focus on Strategy & Innovation from the University of Mannheim, Germany. Earlier she received a Bachelor of Science in International Business from Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences, Germany. During her studies, Carola Wandres spend one semester at the Universidad de Belgrano, Argentina, and one semester at the Fundação Getúlio Vargas, Brazil.

Before joining the WU for her research, Carola Wandres has been working as consultant for several years. Working in a strategy consultancy after her studies, she mainly advised clients in the FMCG, automotive, and wood processing industry in areas ranging from strategy, controlling to merger & acquisitions. Later on, she started working for an international M&A advisory, where she was mainly involved in capital raisings and sell-side mandates for start-ups in the tech industry.
