On October 30th, the WU Institute for Gender and Diversity in Organizations, SIETAR Austria, and Soroptimist International organized a thought-provoking event that delved into the question of whether body beautification is linked to empowerment or violence. The topic was explored by five experts from different continents and fields: Lina Triana (President of the International Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery), Hawon Jung (South Korean journalist and author), Merle Ojasoo (Associate Professor at Tallinn University of Technology), Raminta Pučėtaitė (Professor at Kaunas University of Technology), and Dr. Bea Verschraegen (em. professor at the University of Vienna and a psychotherapist). The hybrid event attracted approximately 40 engaged participants who actively participated in discussions. Following the event, experts had an opportunity to network with the audience members.
