Aiming to lower the carbon footprint of its conference, the conference team sources environmentally friendly food and conference materials. Additionally, we offer conference participants to join our goal to contribute to a sustainable future by CO2 offsetting their conference stay.
By CO2 offsetting the conference stay, conference participants offset carbon emissions due to local lodging (electricity, heating/cooling, services, catering on-campus) and transport (taxis, trams, busses, subways). As part of the CBSIG conference in Vienna, we are supporting two environmental non-profit organizations, One Tree Planted and Just One Tree.

CO2 offsets are by no means a sufficient way of compensating for the negative environmental footprint of travel and conference stays, but it is the bare minimum we can do at this time.
