About
Born in Switzerland, Marcel Bilger received his doctorate in econometrics and statistics from the University of Geneva and subsequently worked as a researcher at the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy. In 2011, he moved to the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School in Singapore, where he worked as Assistant Professor and Deputy Director of Education in the Signature Program in Health Services & Systems Research. In 2018, he was appointed full professor at WU, where he holds the Endowed Chair in Health Economics in the Health Economics and Policy Division at the Department of Socioeconomics. With his research, he aims to contribute to the development of new frameworks that take into account efficiency and equity considerations and provide a basis for future health policy decisions.
