Katharina joined the Institute for Responsibility and Sustainability in Global Business as a Teaching and Research Associate in June 2024. She holds a master's degree in Sustainability Sciences from Leuphana Universität Lüneburg and Arizona State University, and a bachelor's degree in Natural Resources Management from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna. During her studies, Katharina spent a semester abroad at the Universitat Politècnica de València. Regarding her professional background, she gained practical experience as a Project Manager at a social startup focused on menstrual health education and academic experience as a Student Assistant in the sustainability faculty at Leuphana. Following her graduation, Katharina worked as a Research Associate at the Institute for Business Ethics and Sustainable Strategy at the University of Applied Sciences for Management and Communication Vienna.

Research

Katharina is interested in the role of change agency in driving organizational change to advance sustainability.

As part of her previous work as a Research Associate, Katharina conducted qualitative research on organizational competencies required for sustainability innovations in multinational companies, with a focus on intra- and interorganizational dialogues.
