Marius joined the Institute for International Business as a research and teaching associate in January 2018 and is part of the Institute for Responsibility and Sustainability in Global Business since April 2023. Besides his doctoral studies at WU Vienna, Marius completed the extracurricular Nord-IB program, a joint initiative by Aalto University, Leeds University, Copenhagen Business School, University of Gothenburg, University of Manchester, Uppsala University, and BI Norwegian Business School. He is an International Management and CEMS graduate from WU Vienna and Norwegian School of Economics. Before that, Marius earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Mannheim and spent one semester in South Korea at Korea University Business School in Seoul.

During his studies, Marius has gained significant international and practical experience in consulting, the automotive and the transportation industry while working for EY, Daimler AG and Fraport AG. He also completed internships in other lines of business, including one at the Representative of German Industry and Trade in Washington, D.C.

Marius enjoys travel photography, visiting exotic destinations, learning more about urban development, and playing tennis.

Research

Marius’ research interests lie within the fields of cross-cultural management, international experience, cultural intelligence, and ethics. In his dissertation, he evaluates how "going abroad" influences people's intentions, behaviors, and performance. 

Teaching

Marius' experience in the classroom includes teaching "International Business Applications" in the International Business specialization of the WU Bachelor program as well as co-teaching the "CEMS Business Project" in the International Management/CEMS Master program.
