Following the guiding principle of "imparting and optimizing competence in business communication", the Institute of Romance Languages also dedicates its courses to the following areas:
Communicative competence: text production and reception, negotiations, presentations Technical language competence: terminology in selected areas, such as foreign trade, financial markets, marketing, etc. Intercultural competence: knowledge of other cultural and economic areas as well as strategies for dealing with them
All three areas are based on general language competence.

In case you need confirmation of your language level after completing the Department's courses in

foreign language business communication, please send an email with a request for the respective language

and your grade transcript to bizcomm@wu.ac.at.

Please note that our language level confirmations are not accepted for applications for the master's degree programs
