Dr Stefan Mayr was invited to teach a course on the Legal Foundations of EU Law and European Political Systems at the China-EU School of Law in Beijing in October 2019. The course is part of a master’s program on European and international law, offered by the China-EU School of Law at the China University of Political Science and Law, one of China’s highest-ranking universities in the field of law. In addition, Dr Mayr gave a guest lecture on current legal developments in the field of EU investment protection, ranging from issues of intra-EU investment arbitration to the European Court of Justice’s recent opinion on the compatibility of CETA’s investment court system with EU law and ongoing negotiations on ISDS reform.
