  • 1988 - 1997 Research fellow and lecturer at the University of Vienna

  • 1997 Habilitation for Constitutional, Administrative and Comparative Law at the University of Vienna

  • 1997 - 2008 Professor in Linz, Bonn and Graz

  • Since 2008 University professor for Public Law, Business Law and International Law at the Vienna University of Economics and Business

  • President of the Austrian Constitutional Court

  • Member of the Venice Commission "Democracy through Law"
