Andrea Romo Pérez and Wogene Mena were nominated by their stream chairs for the “best paper award” of the EDI (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) conference held in Cape Town, South Africa, between 22-24 July 2022. Andrea Romo Pérez presented her paper entitled “Disrupting the masculine structure in a police force. Experiences from the global south” and Wogene Mena presented his research entitled “Beyond formal collective bargaining and resisting mechanisms: Examining the workers resisting and bargaining mechanisms in Ethiopia’s Industrial Parks”.
