Registration for courses in winter semester 2024/25 runs

• Until September 28 for all courses

• September 29 to October 14 for remaining places in the first half-semester

• Until November 30 for all courses in the second half-semester

Our registration options are:

Online registration using the WU Business Language Center’s online portal

• for courses with no admission requirements, tuition fees are paid immediately by credit card (Visa, MasterCard). Registration is binding once the tuition fee has been paid.

• for courses with admission requirements, participants can only pre-register online. Applicants are not sent the link to pay for the course online (Visa, MasterCard) until the admission requirements (e.g. completing the placement test, documenting language skills) have been fulfilled. Registration is not complete until payment has been made. 

Personally at the WU Business Language Center

• for any of the courses offered at the WU Business Language Center (Sprachlernzentrum) during the hours posted on the website. Tuition fees have to be paid by bank card or credit card (Visa, MasterCard) in the WU Business Language Center office.


 

Courses  are planned on campus.

Each course is EUR 229 for WU students (including incoming students) and WU-employees. The regular price for non-WU-affiliated participants is EUR 327.

Participants can drop courses free of charge online or in person up to a week (two weeks days for exams) before the course is scheduled to begin. After this deadline, the course fee cannot be refunded even if the participant does not attend (unless a legal right of withdrawal exists as detailed in our terms and conditions).

Minimum group size is 12, maximum group size is 20 persons.

Courses of 30 teaching units (45 min each) take place once or twice a week and usually last a half-semester, covering half a level, for instance A1.1. The scheduled time may include a short break.

The courses are open to the public.

The WU Business Language Center reserves the right to cancel courses for important reasons, in particular if the minimum number of participants is not reached. The WU Business Language Center also reserves the right to make reasonable and justified scheduling changes (e.g., instructors, classroom; see also full terms and conditions). The WU Business Language Center will inform participants of any such changes in a timely manner. If a course has to be cancelled, any payments already made will be refunded in full.

You can pre-register on our website. As soon as you have fulfilled the admission requirements (usually a placement test or proof of language skills), we will send you a link for the payment of the course and you can complete the registration. You can upload your proof here.

Our courses are an additional offer and therefore nor on LPIS nor in VVZ. At the end of the course you receive a certificate stating ECTS credits and grad and credit transfer is done in the Study Service Center. Language courses qualify for transfer as free electives.

Unfortunately we cannot change times and dates of our courses.

At the moment we are only offering courses according to our program. In the future we plan to extend our language courses to further languages and more specialized courses.
