Kirsi Aaltonen is an Associate Professor of Project Management at the University of Oulu, Finland, where she leads the Project Business Research Team within the Industrial Engineering and Management Research Unit. She has over 20 years of experience in project management research and teaching. Her research has focused on project stakeholder engagement, collaboration in complex inter-organizational projects, and the use of new technologies to enhance project management learning. She serves as an Associate Editor for Project Leadership & Society and as a member of the Editorial Board for the Project Management Journal. Additionally, she is a co-founder of an edtech company specializing in gamified project management learning solutions.
