Christof Miska, Academic Head of the Competence Center for Emerging Markets & CEE at WU Vienna, will contribute to the GBSN Beyond conference in a session titled “Synergy in Action - Competence & Excellence Centers at Business Schools.”

In collaboration with Sanjay Sharma, Dean of the Grossman School of Business, this session will examine the pivotal role of competence and excellence centers in coordinating interdisciplinary research and teaching activities. The discussion will emphasize the transformative potential of collaborative efforts between academia, industry, and the public sector. With a focus on knowledge transfer and the Third Mission, these centers are essential in aligning academic work with societal impact. This presentation will highlight ongoing research at the intersection of ethics, sustainability, and international business.
