Resuming a Degree Program

Information on how to resume a degree program for the following groups of former students: 

  • Former students who hold an Austrian secondary school leaving certificate (Reifezeugnis)

  • Former students who have completed a university entrance qualification examination

  • Former students who hold a German secondary school leaving certificate (Hochschulreife)

  • Former students from South Tyrol who hold a secondary school leaving certificate issued in German or Ladin

  • Former students who have completed an academic degree program with a duration of at least three years at a recognized post-secondary educational institution in Austria

These groups of former students can resume a previously interrupted WU degree program during the re-registration period, under the curriculum version that is currently in effect. If you would like to resume your degree program, please send us an email to studienzulassung@wu.ac.at with a copy of your student ID card.

Information on how to resume a degree program for the following group of former students:

  •   Former students with an international school leaving certificate

These groups of former students can resume a previously interrupted WU degree program during the re-registration period, under the curriculum version that is currently in place, if the interruption did not last any longer than two semesters. If you would like to resume your degree program, please send us an email to bachelor.application@wu.ac.at or master.application@wu.ac.at with a copy of your student ID card.

If you would like to resume a degree program after an interruption of more than two semesters, please contact us by email to bachelor.application@wu.ac.at or master.application@wu.ac.at, we will inform you on the further steps required.
