How does the climate crisis relate to fundamental rights? Birgit Hollaus addressed this question in her presentation at the 2^nd Austrian Climate Law Day on 24^th May 2023. In doing so, she used the case law of the European Court of Human Rights as a starting point to identify the legal possibilities and difficulties in arguing for a state obligation to protect as the climate crisis hits.
