Under the guidance of Prof. Verena Madner a new research project funded by the FFG and the federal government in context of the programme "Energie.Frei.Raum" has been launched. ‘F.R.E.SCH’ is part of #mission2030, the Austrian Climate and Energy Strategy. The aim of the project is to identify barriers in the field of testing and implementation of energy and technology innovations and help to reduce them. The main objective of the project is to determine the need and potential for regulatory space, which is necessary for the integration of renewable energy technologies as well as energy storage and energy efficiency technologies. Cooperation partners in the project are the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT, project lead) and the Energy Institute at the Johannes Kepler University Linz.
