On 14 September 2016, Prof. Verena Madner was invited as an expert to a parliamentary enquiry on the EU-Canada Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA). In her statement, she highlighted some fundamental questions that have remained open so far and stressed that the abundance of legal questions of interpretation contrasts with the often suggested unambiguity of the agreements.
