The second stakeholder workshop as part of the research project F.R.E.SCH took place at WU Vienna on January 20, 2020. Prof. Verena Madner presented the basic legal framework for regulatory sandboxes in Austria and illustrated difficulties and opportunities associated with their implementation. The objective of the workshop included the assessment of the potential of regulatory sandboxes for previously prioritized topics in the field of electricity and gas. A subsequent discussion on the specific design of these regulatory sandboxes offered stakeholders the opportunity to contribute their ideas actively.
