On 17th October 2023, another edition of the BOKU Energy Cluster event series took place, this time on the topic of “Climate change adaptation in municipalities – what (more) can be done?”.

On 17^th October 2023, another edition of the BOKU Energy Cluster event series took place, this time on the topic of “Climate change adaptation in municipalities – what (more) can be done?”. In her introductory statement, Birgit Hollaus outlined legal key challenges faced by municipalities in climate change adaptation. The subsequent discussion, moderated by Katharina Gugerell (BOKU), gave way for the panel (Andreas Hammer, Municipality of Berg; Karoline Mitterer, KDZ – Centre for public administration research; Verena Radinger-Peer, BOKU; Gernot Wörther, Klima- und Energiefonds) and the participating public, live as well as online, to talk about possibilities, opportunities, and (current) limitations for climate change adaptation at municipal level.
