The members of the Council for the Environment and Social Responsibility of the EVN meet twice a year in order to discuss current topics, as well as to advise the Board of the EVN on questions concerning the environment and sustainability. March 8th, 2017, André Martinuzzi, the head of the Institute for Managing Sustainability, held an impulse lecture on the topic of “Corporate Social Responsibility – Trends, Chances, and Challenges in International Comparison” and was available for discussion with the council members. Instead of a lecture fee, it was agreed that EVN would be grateful for a donation to an aid organization for asylum seekers. We are glad that the EVN generously donated 1.000 Euro to the association “Fremde werden Freunde”. Further cooperation between the EVN and the Institute for Managing Sustainability has been secured.
