The WU Award for Excellent Teaching involves students to a greater extent. Nominations are made exclusively by students, who can suggest their favorites for the award via an online nomination tool. Subsequently, a jury decides on the awarding of the prize.

The fact that the teachers have all taught with a great deal of commitment and motivation in the turbulent past semesters was also evident in the selection process for the teaching awards. The students appreciated their dedication, especially in these special times, and once again the number of nominations for the Excellent Teaching exceeded the numbers of previous years. Ten awardees were selected from approximately 800 nominated teachers.

From the Department FAS, Katharina van Bakel-Auer, Financial Accounting and Auditing Group, received this award.
