Katrin Hummel (39) received her doctorate in 2008 from the Chair of Controlling at the University of Stuttgart on the topic of transfer pricing. On January 1, 2021, she took up the professorship for Accounting & Reporting at the Department of Finance, Accounting and Statistics at WU. Professor Hummel’s research focuses on non-financial reporting, assurance and performance. Specifically, she examines the value-relevance of non-financial reporting in different settings, the integration of sustainability aspects and risks in the management control systems of banks and the economic consequences and real effects of non-financial reporting mandates.
